Sweetheart policies

The Sweetheart, or "Little Sister", is the female representative of the fraternity. It goes without a doubt that she is highly respected within the fraternity's circle, and as such, all members have the obligation of acting with an exemplary behavior in her presence. The Sweetheart is elected by the fraternity, by the recommendation of one of the brothers, or by simply applying for the post.

Profile: 
Being Sigma Theta Pi's representative, the little sister must fill in certain criteria:
She must be an exemplary student, or be in a prestigious school program. She must have the love for philanthropic work or volunteering. She must be part of a sorority or a student body or other cultural or sporting associations. She must love partying with the members, but she must always maintain a certain level of dignity.

Election:
Elections for the sweetheart are held every year during the winter's semester.

Engagements:
Once the sweetheart is elected, she is presented with a gift from the fraternity, often some jewelry bearing the fraternity's letters, and the year of her election, with a bouquet of flowers, during an official ceremony.
She is invited to all the fraternity's philanthropic work, as well as all the meetings that she is cordially invited to.
She is also invited to all the fraternity's social gatherings and must take part in the promotion of such events.
During her year, the sweetheart is invited to a given restaurant or at the Fraternity's house for a dinner in her honor.
