Grenoble, The capital of the Departement of Isère, is situated literally at the foot of the French Alps, giving it the name : the "Capital of Alps".

 

With a History that spans some two miléniums, this iconic French city was once the capital of the Dauphiné during the 11th century.

Today, Grenoble is one of the very popular tourist destinations of France. It is home to many different attractions such as The Bastille, a series of ancient fortifications

or the many museums such as the Museum of Grenoble or the Archaeological museum of Saint-Laurent.

Another renown attraction is the Cable cars that offer a magnificent panoramic view of the breathtaking landscape that Grenoble offers.

Other than that, Grenoble hosted the Tenth Winter Olympic games in 1968.And the cultural diversity of the region 

finds its home in the MC2: the "Maison de la Culture" 2.

 

Home to Grenoble University, Birthplace of Sigma Theta Pi, it goes without a doubt that this city has kept its

symbolic significance in the fraternity's mythology.
