Montreal is the largest city in the Canadian province of Quebec and the second-largest city in Canada. 

Being one of the most important cities in Canada, its official language is french. It takes on such importance because it is without a doubt a real center for a multitude of fields such as commerce, aerospace, finance, technology, culture and

tourism.

 

With its colonial past reposing on the trade of fur, Montreal has over the centuries grown into one of the centers for world affairs. Ontop of this, it is critical to mention that Montreal is home to some of the most prestigious universities in the world. Some of which are worth mentioning include Mcgill University, Concordia University and University of Montreal.

 

Finally, it is safe to say that Montreal is home to many sporting events and teams. Boasting an Olympic stadium and one of the biggest Hockey stadiums, Montreal is home to many teams such as the Montreal Canadiens, Alouettes and Impact. It is also a host to the many events such as the Canadian Grand Prix.

 

Overall, Montreal is beyond any doubt one of the places to visit, and it isn't surprising that it has been ranked as one of the most livable cities and that it was

called "Canada's Cultural Capital" by Monocle Magazine.
